These hadiths are the remainder of the hadiths of the Book of Jihad transmitted in Riyad al-Salihin. They contain encouragement to go on expeditions, and that if a person does not go on an expedition, does not intend to go on an expedition, and does not leave behind a family for one who goes in a good state, then a calamity will strike him before the Day of Resurrection. This calamity may be interpreted by what came before in the hadithRiyad as-Salihin 1341. They also contain encouragement to fight the polytheists with wealth, life, and tongue. With wealth, that a person should spend money to help the mujahideen or to buy weapons or the like. With life, that he should go out with his person to fight. And with the tongue, that he should satirize them with poems and verses, because satirizing the polytheists affects them and serves as a bad memory for them until Allah wills. For example, we are still hearing today the satire of Hassan ibn Thabit and Abdullah ibn Rawahah and others (may Allah be pleased with them) against the polytheists. In these hadiths mentioned by the author (may Allah have mercy on him), there is also the virtue of jihad in the path of Allah, and that it is among the best of deeds. Many hadiths have passed in this meaning, and the author (may Allah have mercy on him) lengthened the transmission of hadiths on this because the chapter of jihad is one of the most important chapters of the religion, to the extent that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: meaning: the peak of Islam Sunan Abi Dawud 2486Hasan (Al-Albani) because of what it contains of exalting the word of Allah, supporting Islam and the Muslims, and other great benefits. And Allah is the One who grants success.
