Benefits of the Hadith: (Anas - may Allah be pleased with him - said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited muhaqalah...").

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The benefits of the hadith, or rather the benefits of the two hadiths...
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Huh?
The student: The first one was mentioned previously.

The Shaykh : The benefits of the second are the prohibition of muhaqalah and muzabana, and that has already been explained.
The prohibition of mukhadra' is because the grain, before it hardens, is susceptible to spoilage. If severe cold comes to the grain before it hardens, it perishes and becomes corrupt. Thus, it is exposed to calamities, and buying it involves risk, and risk is prohibited.
Now, among the benefits of the hadith is the prohibition of mulamasah and munabadha, because they are forms of sale involving excessive uncertainty (gharar) that lead to ignorance, enmity, hatred, and regret on the part of the one who is defrauded. All of this is what the Shari'ah prohibits.
