How can students of knowledge protect the Shari'ah in light of its current reality?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: ... the media, and the people of truth are prevented from that, so how can the Shari'ah be protected?

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you. You intend by that to protect the Shari'ah, but as for applying that in society, that is not for you to do; that is for Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills إنك لا تهدي من أحببت ولكن الله يهدي من يشاء
[Al-Qasas 28:56]
And you know what happened to Imam Ahmad and others of the imams in terms of trials in their attempt to apply the Shari'ah among the people. And yet, they were patient and sought reward from Allah until the truth became apparent, praise be to Allah. So applying the Shari'ah does not mean that if a student of knowledge intends to apply and protect the Shari'ah, he is able to do so. He may not be able to, but he intends this, and he centers his seeking of knowledge on this intention. And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) will facilitate matters for him. Then, if he is harmed for the sake of Allah, it is an elevation of his ranks and an elevation of his mention. If you reflect on who is most harmed among the scholars, you will find that they are the great scholars. They are the ones who are subjected to harm through imprisonment, beating, and humiliation, and perhaps even killing. And this is from Allah's elevation of them.
