Advice on the Ease of the Science of Grammar

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Grammar is not actually difficult, except for a person who imagines that it is difficult; otherwise, it is one of the easiest of the sciences. But if you want to enter grammar while believing that it is difficult, know that it will be closed off to you, do you understand? That is why it is said: It is a hut of reeds with an iron door; break the door, and nothing remains before you. So, do not make it difficult. If I say to you, "Zayd stood up," what do you say about Zayd? The doer (fa'il). And if I say, "Zayd was struck," is it the object (maf'ul bihi)? No, "Zayd was struck" means he is the object linguistically, and it is correct that he is struck, but technically we say it is the substitute for the doer (na'ib al-fa'il). Why? Because the doer is a pillar in the sentence, so either he exists, or his substitute exists, do you understand? The important thing is that, if Allah wills, it is easy, and if Allah wills, we will focus on you from the perspective of grammar now.
