Introduction to the Importance of the Science of Grammar

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows:
The science of grammar is a noble science, a means by which one reaches two important things:
The first thing is understanding the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), for much of their speech, or rather, understanding much of it, depends on knowing grammar.
The second is establishing the tongue upon the Arabic language, which is the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), or the language in which the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) came down. Therefore, understanding grammar is a very important matter. However, grammar is difficult at the beginning and easy at the end. It has been compared to a reed stalk with an iron door, meaning that it is difficult to enter, but once you enter, everything becomes easy for you.
For this reason, a person should strive to learn its principles so that the rest becomes easy for him. There is no value in the statement of one who says that grammar is difficult, to the point where the student imagines that he will not be able to master it, for this is not correct. But if you focus on the beginning, the end will be easy for you. One person says:
"Grammar is difficult and its ladder is long *** If one who does not understand climbs it
He intends to parse it, but he muddles it *** ..."

This is not correct. We do not agree with this. Rather, we say that, if Allah wills, grammar is easy, its ladder is short, and its steps are easy from the very beginning; you will understand it.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) began by speaking about grammar, for grammar is for establishing speech, so we must understand it.
