The Shaykh :"The tenth: that there is no one more misguided, or no one is more misguided, than the one who calls upon other than Allah" is clear from the verse meaning this interrogative is in the sense of negation.
"The eleventh: that he is heedless of the caller's supplication and does not know about it". Due to His saying:[Al-Ahqaf 46:5] Who does "they" refer to? And they are heedless of the callers, or the callers are heedless of the supplication of the callers, of their supplication, meaning the supplication of the callers, or of the supplication of the callers to them. The one with the possibility is the second pronoun, which is his saying: As for the first "they," who does it refer to? It refers to the ones being called, and no one else. So this one being called is heedless, and what is meant by heedlessness is its necessary consequence, which is non-response.
"The twelfth: that that supplication is a cause for the one being called to hate the caller and be his enemy".
The student: We have worship
The Shaykh : Ah?
The student: We have worship
The Shaykh : Not that that supplication is a cause for the one being called to hate the caller and be his enemy. It is taken from his saying:[Al-Ahqaf 46:6] Yes. Cross it out.
The student: The one after it.
The Shaykh :"The thirteenth: naming that supplication as worship of the one being called". Where is it taken from? So Allah named supplication as worship, so supplication is worship, so their supplication to these people is worship of them in reality. For this reason he said: [Al-Ahqaf 46:6].
"The fourteenth: the disbelief of the one being called in that worship". What is the meaning of his disbelief in it? That if it is the Day of Resurrection, he will disavow it and deny it. So disbelief in a thing means rejecting it and denying it. So these people on the Day of Resurrection will disavow the supplication of those who called upon them and disbelieve in it.
"The fifteenth: that these matters are the cause of him being the most misguided of people". What are the matters? They call upon other than Allah one who does not respond to them. Second: that he is heedless of his supplication. Third: that when people are gathered, he will be an enemy to him. Fourth: that he disbelieves in his worship. And with these four matters, the one who calls upon other than Allah becomes the most misguided of people. Meaning, the reality of the matter is that he did not benefit from this supplication in any way, rather he only increased in enmity from the one being called, and disbelief in him, and disavowal of him.
"The sixteenth: interpretation of the fifth verse". And it is His saying, Exalted is He:[An-Naml 27:62] And the one in distress is in a state of severity. So who does he call for aid? He calls for aid to Allah, because no one responds to him except Allah, Mighty and Majestic. And it has preceded us in the interpretation of the verse that in many situations a person falls into severity and has no one to save him, so Allah makes easy for him means by which He saves him, in previous nations and in this nation. So when Musa and his people reached the sea, and Pharaoh and his people were behind them, this was a great severity, because if they crossed the sea they would drown, and if they did not cross it, they would become prey for Pharaoh and his people. For this reason they said: [Ash-Shu'ara 26:61-62] So Allah saved him from this severity.
