The ruling on one who leads people in congregational prayer while having a wound

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the ruling on one who prays in congregation with people while having a wound?

A: If the wound has a bandage on it, he wipes over it during the ablution and the full ritual bath, and that suffices him, and his prayer is valid, whether he is the imam, a follower, or praying alone. If he does not have a bandage on it, he performs dry ablution with clean earth for it after washing his sound limbs, and that suffices him and his prayer is valid; because Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said: :
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Surat al-Taghabun: 16].
And because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Muslims who were wounded with some injuries on the Day of Uhud prayed with their wounds; and when Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated, from Jabir , that a man was struck by a wound and some of his companions advised him to wash it, so he washed it and died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
They killed him, may Allah kill them. Did they not ask when they did not know? The cure for ignorance is asking.قتلوه قتلهم الله، ألا سألوا إذ لم يعلموا! إنما شفاء العي السؤال
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 1:995
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It would have been enough for him to use earth and tie a rag over the sore, then wipe over it and wash the rest of his body.إنما كان يكفيه أن يعصب على جرحه خرقة ويمسح عليها ويغسل سائر جسده
