The imam remembered that he had not performed wudu; should he inform the ma'mum?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A person or others performed one of the obligatory prayers, and when they finished the prayer and dispersed, he remembered that he had not performed wudu. He then repeated the prayer alone after performing wudu. Is the prayer valid in this case? Or is he required to inform the ma'mum? And if he does not know them, what should he do?

A: The prayer of the ma'mum is valid, but the imam must perform wudu and repeat the prayer; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Salat will not be accepted without purificationلا تقبل صلاة بغير طهور
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1Sahih (Darussalam)
which al-Musnad narrated in his Sahih.
