The ruling on the prayer of an imam who remembers after the prayer that he was not in a state of ablution

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A man led a group of people in prayer, and after he had completed the prayer, he remembered that he was not in a state of ritual purity. He then went and performed the ritual purification and repeated the prayer, he alone. Was what this man did correct? And what is required of him now if he was in error?

A: What the aforementioned man did is correct, and it is obligatory for him. As for the congregation, their prayer is valid, because they did not know his state at the time of the prayer. And success is from Allah.
