Ruling on taking a Hajj to pay off a debt

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: Is it permissible to take money for performing Hajj on behalf of someone else to settle a debt I owe? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.

Answer: There is nothing wrong with taking a Hajj to pay off the debt that is upon you; however, what you should do is that the intention behind the Hajj should be to share with the Muslims in good deeds along with paying off the debt, so that perhaps Allah may benefit you through it, and the material compensation you receive for the Hajj should be secondary to that.
