Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: We would like to inquire, O honorable Shaykh, about the authenticity of the hadith of 'Amir ibn Yasir:
Whoever fasts on the day concerning which there is doubt, has disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim.من صام اليوم الذي يشك فيه فقد عصى أبا القاسم
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2188Sahih (Darussalam)
?

Answer: The hadith is authentic, and it is considered marfu' (traced to the Prophet). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: :
Whoever fasts on the day concerning which there is doubt, has disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim.من صام اليوم الذي يشك فيه فقد عصى أبا القاسم ﷺ
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2188Sahih (Darussalam)
It was narrated by Ahmad and the people of the Sunan, and its chain of narration is authentic. It supports what we mentioned previously, which is what the meticulous scholars have stated: that one does not fast on the day of doubt. And success is from Allah.
