Is it possible to replace the word "Muslims" instead of "Salafis"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And not a follower of the later generations? You will say to me, "No, I am neither a Salafi nor a follower of the later generations." In that case, you are in clear misguidance. How are you not a Salafi? How do you understand the Qur'an? How do you understand the attributes? Just as the righteous Salaf understood them. And so, the current wave among you is, "Oh brother, forget about Salafiyyah; we are Muslims. Allah named us Muslims." This is diplomacy in da'wah to gather people around us. Do you understand or not? This is a deviation in the wording of the da'wah, even though words seek meanings. A person must be frank in his da'wah: "I am a Salafi." What does it mean to be a Salafi? It means I understand the Shari'ah as the righteous Salaf understood it. No one can disavow the righteous Salaf.
