Explanation of the author's statement: "And He has no equal and no peer"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And He has no equal" The evidence is
Nor is there to Him any equivalent." وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ
[Al-Ikhlas 112:4]
Yes.
"And He has no peer" The evidence is the statement of Allah the Exalted:
So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. فَلا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَاداً وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:22]
meaning: you know that He has no peer. A peer means a counterpart.
These three terms—sami, kufu, and nidd—have very close meanings. The meaning of kufu is one who matches it. A thing does not match another thing unless it is like it. If it is not like it, it is not a match. Therefore, He has no kufu, meaning He has no counterpart, (Glorified and Exalted is He).
Now, what is the intent of this negation? The intent is the perfection of His attributes. It does not mean He has no counterpart because He does not exist, for example. It means He has no counterpart because His attributes are perfect. So this negation of kufu, sami, and musamil is intended to affirm the perfection of His attributes. Because of the perfection of His attributes, no one is like Him.
