Continuation of the discussion on the invalidity of the claim that Allah is present within creation.

The Shaykh : This has become a ladder for the claim of the *Hululiyyah* (those who believe in divine indwelling), for the claim of the *Hululiyyah*. So you see that this statement is false, and the implication of this statement is disbelief. Therefore, we see that whoever says that Allah is with us on earth is a disbeliever. He is to be given the opportunity to repent, and the truth is to be explained to him. If he repents, well and good; otherwise, he must be killed. And how well one of the brothers said: Do not think that I was actually in Makkah last year. We happened to meet a man from the Rafidah, whom I think was one of their scholars. So we said, this man with me is speaking, and by Allah, I forgot the beginning of it, but he said that Allah rose above the Throne. The Rafidi said, "He took control of the Throne. He does not rise above the Throne. It is not possible for Him to be above it." He said, "Where is He then?" "In every place." His companion said to him, "Does He not have a pocket in which He has a pen?" He said, "Like this," and he opened his pocket and stood up looking around. "What is wrong with you?" "I want to see Allah." Our companion said to him, mocking him, "If you say that Allah is in every place, it means that Allah is in your pocket right now." Yes. When we saw that the dispute between them was going to drag on without any benefit, in reality, we left the matter. The important thing is that this is a joke, but a stinging one for this man. Now, what do we say regarding His saying, the Exalted:
and He is with you wherever you are وهو معكم أينما كنتم
[Al-Hadid 57:4]
Is it general presence or specific presence?
The student: General.

The Shaykh : General, because it entails encompassing creation with knowledge, power, authority, hearing, sight, and other meanings of lordship. He said:
And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing. والله بما تعملون بصير
[Al-Baqarah 2:265]
What came after was the time of the
The student: The time has ended.

The Shaykh : What is it that ended?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : ... the time ends quickly. All right.
