Explanation of the author's statement and his saying: (And recite what has been revealed to you of your Lord's Book; there is no changer of His words) (Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that in which they differ)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words
[Al-Kahf 18:27]
His statement:
what has been revealed to you ما أوحي إليك
[Al-An'am 6:106]
is the Qur'an, and revelation is nothing but speech; it is nothing but speech, so it is therefore uncreated. And his statement:
of the Book of your Lord
[Al-Kahf 18:27]
he attributed it to Him, (Glorified and Exalted is He), because He is the One who spoke it, but did He write it?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, He revealed it to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) through Gabriel, unlike the Torah, for Allah wrote it on the tablets with His hand.
None can alter His words
[Al-An'am 6:115]
His statement:
there is no changer لا مبدل
means that no one is a changer who changes the words of Allah. As for Allah, (Mighty and Majestic), it is permissible for Him to replace one verse with another, but as for anyone else, no one is able to change the speech of Allah. And his statement:
None can alter His words
[Al-An'am 6:115]
includes the cosmic words and the legislative words. As for the cosmic ones, nothing is excluded from them; no one can change the cosmic words of Allah. No, if Allah decrees death for a person, no one can change that. If Allah, (Glorified and Exalted is He), decrees poverty, no one can change that. If Allah, (Glorified and Exalted is He), decrees drought, no one can change that. These are the cosmic words, and all these matters that occur in the universe are by His command.
His command is only when He intends a thing
[Ya-Sin 36:82]

The student: That He say to him

The Shaykh :
that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
[Ya-Sin 36:82]
(Glorified and Exalted is He). As for the legislative words, they may be changed by the people of disbelief and hypocrisy; they change the words, either in meaning or in wording, if they are able. And his statement:
Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree.
[An-Naml 27:76]
The evidence is his saying:
relates يقص
and narration is nothing but
The student: speech

The Shaykh : speech and words. If the Qur'an is the One who narrates, then who narrated the stories of the Qur'an?
The student: Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He)

The Shaykh : Yes, because of His saying, (Glorified and Exalted is He):
We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories
[Yusuf 12:3]
and thus the Qur'an is the speech of Allah, (Mighty and Majestic).
