The meaning of the saying of Allah: (( So fight in the cause of Allah; you are not held accountable except for yourself ))?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Go ahead.
The student : He says - may Allah have mercy on him - : "By this, He (Glorified and Exalted is He) means
So fight, [O Muhammad], in the cause of Allah; you are not held responsible except for yourself. فَقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ
[An-Nisa 4:84]
that is, strive, O Muhammad, against the enemies of Allah from among the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah)
in the way of Allah فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
[Al-Baqarah 2:154]
meaning in His religion which He prescribed for you, which is Islam, and fight them in it with your own self. As for His saying:
you are not held responsible except for yourself لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ
[An-Nisa 4:84]
it means: Allah does not burden you with what He has made obligatory upon you regarding the jihad against His enemy and your enemy, except what He has placed upon you of it, and not what He has placed upon others of it: that is, you are only followed [in the Hereafter] by what you have earned."

The Shaykh : Other than what He placed upon you, and what else?
The student : Yes, other than what He placed upon you.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student : "From the jihad against His enemy and your enemy, except what He has placed upon you of it, other than what He has placed upon others.

The Shaykh: Perfect.
The student : Other than what He has placed upon others of it, that is, you are only followed by what you have earned, other than what others have earned." This is the interpretation.

The Shaykh : That is it.
The student : What does Ibn Kathir say, O our Shaykh? "He (the Exalted) commands His servant and Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to engage in fighting with his own self, and whoever shirks it, there is no blame upon him for it."

The Shaykh : That is it.
The student : This is what the Shaykh mentioned.

The Shaykh : This is it, glory be to Allah.
The student : The issue is about shirking in a group, not that it should be...

The Shaykh : He fights alone, may Allah help us.
The student : ... our Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And may Allah protect you, if Allah wills.
