Explanation of the author's statement: "And they take the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as the mothers of the believers"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And they take the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as the mothers of the believers".
His statement: "The wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) are the mothers of the believers": This is a description of "the wives". So, the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are our mothers in what? In lineage, or in honor, respect, and maintaining ties? It is the latter; it is not in lineage. Therefore, we are not mahram (forbidden relatives) to every believer, but they are mothers to every believer.
Allah the Exalted said:
The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves, and his wives are [in the position of] their mothers النبي أولي بالمؤمنين من أنفسهم وأزواجه أمهاتهم
[Al-Ahzab 33:6]
. They are our mothers in respect, maintaining ties, reverence, and exaltation. So, we take them under our protection by supporting and defending them, and by believing that they are the best of the wives of the people of the earth, because they are the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
"And they believe that they are their wives in the Hereafter", based on hadiths that have been reported regarding this, and His saying the Exalted in Surat al-Sajdah:
(7) Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire. (8) Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. الذين يحملون العرش ومن حوله يسبحون بحمد ربهم ويؤمنون به ويستغفرون للذين آمنوا ربنا وسعت كل شيء رحمة وعلما فاغفر للذين تابوا واتبعوا سبيلك وقهم عذاب الجحيم * ربنا وأدخلهم جنات عدن التي وعدتهم ومن صلح من آبائهم وأزواجهم وذرياتهم إنك أنت العزيز الحكيم
[Ghafir 40:7-8]
, so He said:
And We will marry them وأزوجهم
, thereby establishing their marriage to them after entering Paradise. This indicates that a person's wife in this world will be his wife in the Hereafter if she is among the people of Paradise.
