Tracing the hadith on the virtue of 'A'ishah over all other women.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: (may Allah be pleased with her). And this hadith is about the virtue of 'A'ishah over the women, like the virtue of...
The superiority of ‘Aishah over other women is like the superiority of Tharid over all other foods.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3281Sahih (Darussalam)
. Al-Bukhari narrated this hadith from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) in the chapter of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh
[At-Tahrim 66:11]
up to His saying:
and was of the devoutly obedient.
[At-Tahrim 66:12]
, hadith number 3230, page 252, Dar al-Turath al-'Arabi edition, volume three, with the wording: From Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The Shaykh : (peace and blessings be upon him)
The reader:
Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asia, Pharaoh's wife, and Mary, the daughter of `Imran. And no doubt, the superiority of `Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. a meat and bread dish) to other meals.
Sahih al-Bukhari 3411

The Shaykh : (peace and blessings be upon him)...
The reader: Likewise, Muslim narrated it in his Sahih, Dar Ihya' al-Turath al-'Arabi edition, volume eight, chapter on the virtue of 'A'ishah, page 211, with the wording: From Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
The superiority of ‘Aishah over other women is like the superiority of Tharid over all other foods.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3281Sahih (Darussalam)
...

The Shaykh : It is better to say "from Anas, with the wording..." You wrote "with the wording from Anas," but "from Anas" is not part of the wording. It is better to say "from Anas, with the wording such-and-such."
The reader: Likewise, al-Tirmidhi narrated it in his Sunan, volume five, book of Virtues, page 706, number 3887, edited by Ibrahim 'Uwaid, from Anas, with the wording as it came in Muslim. Al-Tirmidhi said: "In this chapter, there is a narration from Abu Musa." He said: "This is a good hadith." Likewise, al-Nasa'i narrated it in his Sunan, volume seven, book of Women's Rights, chapter on a man loving one of his wives more than another, page 68, Dar al-Kutub al-'Ilmiyyah edition, from Abu Musa, from the Prophet, and from 'A'ishah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The superiority of ‘Aishah over other women is like the superiority of Tharid over all other foods.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3281Sahih (Darussalam)
. And Allah knows best, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet.

The Shaykh : You have done well, may Allah reward you. So, it was narrated from three Companions: Abu Musa, Anas, and 'A'ishah. Now, here, how do you say? How do we accept the narration of 'A'ishah when she is testifying for herself? We said: Narration is not like testimony. Narration is accepted because there is a great responsibility in attributing it to the one to whom it is attributed. So it is not possible for 'A'ishah to attribute to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a saying he did not say, whether in her virtues or otherwise.
So, the hadith is established in the two Sahihs and others
Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asia, Pharaoh's wife, and Mary, the daughter of `Imran. And no doubt, the superiority of `Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. a meat and bread dish) to other meals.
Sahih al-Bukhari 3411
. Now, there are two hadiths remaining.
