The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: "And the others see this discussion as verbal, and there is no great meaning in it"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then another group, the people of reform, came and said: All this dispute is a verbal dispute. If you say it is a narration or an expression, the meaning is the same. Do not let your hostility be between you, so that your opponents may gain power over you. Reconcile. He said: "And the others see this discussion as verbal, and there is no great meaning in it"
The problem is now resolved, so reconciliation took place between whom? Between the Asha'irah and the Kalbiyyah. This one said to them: Stop, people, do not dispute. All this disagreement is verbal, and there is no great meaning beneath it. And if it is verbal, then discussing it is tiring for the minds and a waste of time, so there is no need. You have now agreed that what is heard is not the speech of Allah, and you have agreed that the speech of Allah is the meaning that subsists in itself. So they reconciled, they reconciled. Do not say, "By Allah, this is an expression and that is a narration." Rather, say the meaning is one; the narration and the expression have the same meaning. Because we are all in agreement that what is heard is not what? It is not the speech of Allah, but it is created. And that the speech of Allah is the meaning that subsists in itself. And in that case, yes, reconciliation proceeds between us and we do not differ. Yes.

The student: Al-Hasr.

The Shaykh : Huh?
