The reader: He said (may Allah have mercy on him) in the chapter of the beginning:
The Shaykh : In what?
The student: The chapter of the beginning.
The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: "And the second is the subject, and this description is the predicate *** if in other than the singular, a level has settled
and they raised the subject with the beginning *** likewise is the raising of the predicate by the subject
and the predicate is the part that completes the benefit *** like 'Allah is generous' and 'the hands are its witness'
and it comes as a singular and it comes as a sentence *** containing the meaning for which it was brought
and if it is its meaning, it suffices *** with it, like 'My speech is Allah, He is sufficient for me and He suffices'".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
