Buying Currency and Saving It for the Purpose of Trade

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: Is it permissible for a person to buy currency and save it, then sell it when its price increases?

Answer: Any commodity that a person buys and sets aside for sale, then sells when the price rises, there is nothing wrong with that, provided there is no harm to the Muslims.
This is by buying the British pound, the Egyptian pound, the Iraqi dinar, the Jordanian dinar, or the Saudi riyal, then keeping it with him. If its price rises, he sells it, and there is nothing wrong with that, on the condition that the exchange takes place in the meeting place. Likewise, what is called hoarding, provided there is no harm to the Muslims in food or other things.
