Ruling on increasing the price in a deferred sale compared to the spot price

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I am the owner of a grocery store. I sell on credit, meaning until the end of the month, so I add a small amount to the price of the goods in exchange for the deferred sale. What is the ruling on that?

Answer:
There is no blame on him for a reasonable increase in the price in a deferred sale compared to the spot price; due to the generality of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِذَا تَدَايَنتُم بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُ
[Surat al-Baqarah: 282] the verse.
And because of the authentic, absolute hadiths that have come regarding that; and because the meaning necessitates that; because a spot sale is not like a deferred sale; so Allah the Exalted permitted a reasonable increase in a sale to a term; so that the needy person who is unable to pay the cash price can purchase his need to a specified term, and this is from the mercy of Allah the Exalted and His kindness to His servants, and success is from Allah.
