Question:
The types of revelation, may Allah reward you, how many are they?
Answer:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) receives revelation from the sky:
Sometimes his Lord speaks to him, as mentioned in the hadith; for Allah spoke to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) just as He spoke to Musa.
And sometimes Jibril brings it to him.
And sometimes he hears the angel confirming it in his ear.
So they are three categories.
