Is a man rewarded for being content with a wife who has not borne children?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a man stays with his first wife and does not marry another, and she does not bear children, is he rewarded for that?

Answer:
As for the reward, Allah knows best... There is nothing wrong with it; because marrying a second wife is not obligatory unless he fears for himself. If staying with her causes him to fear that he will not be chaste, he must marry a second wife if he is able, or a third or fourth if he is able, if he fears oppression or fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). But if his desire is weak and one woman is sufficient for him, then praise be to Allah.
