Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna and Ibn Bashshar narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and Shu'bah narrated to us from Abu Ishaq, who said: I heard al-Bara' ibn 'Azib say:
When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) concluded a peace treaty with the people of Hudaibiya, `Ali bin Abu Talib wrote the document and he mentioned in it, "Muhammad, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ."
Sahih al-Bukhari 2698
, and then he mentioned it in a manner similar to the hadith of Mu'adh, except that he did not mention in the hadith:
This is what هَذَا مَا كَاتَبَ عَلَيْهِ
Sahih Muslim 1783a
.
