Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman went to perform the lesser pilgrimage at the end of Ramadan, and on her way to Makkah, drops of blood came from her. She thought it was irregular bleeding and did not pay attention to it, because her period had come at the beginning of the month. So she would perform ablution for every obligatory prayer and pray in the Sacred Mosque. She completed the lesser pilgrimage and noticed that this irregular bleeding continued for eight days. She now does not know if it is irregular bleeding or a menstrual period. What should she do? Does she sin by entering the Sacred Mosque? What is required of her? What is the ruling on her lesser pilgrimage? Is it valid and rewarded?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment:
Drops of blood are not considered menstruation, because menstruation is flowing blood, as indicated by the derivation of the word. The word for menstruation is taken from their saying: "The valley menstruated" when it flowed.
Therefore, the lesser pilgrimage of this questioner is valid. Her remaining in the Sacred Mosque is permissible, provided she is safe from blood falling into the mosque, and there is no sin in it. Her prayer is also valid.
