Explanation of the author's statement: "Even if it is for a woman"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We remain with the author's statement: "And it is forbidden to possess and use them". This includes men and women; it includes men and women. It is not permissible for a woman to use gold and silver vessels, just as it is not permissible for a man. If someone asks, "Is it not permissible for a woman to adorn herself with gold?" the answer is that it is permissible for her to adorn herself with gold, but it is not permissible for a man to do so. The difference is that a woman has a need to beautify herself and adorn herself, and her beauty and adornment are not for her alone, but also for her husband. Therefore, it is in the interest of both. A man does not have that need. The man is the seeker, not the one sought, while the woman is the one sought. For this reason, you will find that most texts are directed to men, because they are the ones who have authority over women and are the seekers. Often, a question arises: Why does Allah the Exalted mention wives for men in Paradise, the Houris, and does not mention anything for women? The answer is what we mentioned: the woman is the one sought, not the seeker. And without doubt, she will receive in Paradise what souls desire and eyes delight in, and she will not choose anything other than what Allah has chosen for her. The conclusion is that we say the prohibition of vessels is general for males and females, because there is no need to permit it for women, unlike clothing and adornment, which is permitted for women. He says: "It is forbidden to possess and use them" "Even if it is for a woman".
