If compensation is obligatory and the price of the two sheep is high, is the value taken into account?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : If it is obligatory?

The questioner : It is obligatory; is the compensation for him or upon him?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And the price of the two sheep is high; in some years, the price of sheep reaches the price of a *haqqa*. So, is the value taken into account?

The Shaykh : In any case, if the price rises until it exceeds the *haqqa*, the person is not going to pay more money than a *haqqa*; he will be given a *haqqa*. For example, if he does not have a *bint labun* but has a *bint makhad*, and they are required to make compensation, is that not so? The value of the sheep is high. What will he choose? He will choose a *haqqa*, buy a *haqqa*, and pay it, or the *bint labun* that is obligatory upon him, yes?
