Is the one who, when he becomes angry, cannot control himself considered to be like a madman in that it is a defect?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding this, we mentioned the madman. In the present age, some analyses are conducted, meaning that a person may have a state where, with the slightest anger, he changes and may do anything. So do we say that this is equated with the madman in terms of the harm that befalls the woman if he becomes angry, or what?

The Shaykh : No, no, this is not equated with the madman. Why? Because anger has a cause, and the cause may not be present. As for the madman, may Allah keep us safe, his madness is constant, whether due to a cause or not.

The questioner : No, but he goes beyond his limit when he becomes angry.

The Shaykh : Many people go beyond their limit, especially in the present time. In the present time, people do not have patience. People used to have patience and endurance regarding matters that opposed their desires, but now they do not have patience. As soon as the slightest opposition occurs, you find him becoming extremely angry. If you give him tea, but it is a bit bitter, immediately he says, "I divorce you three times," may Allah keep us safe. This is a matter... meaning, we hear about it from many who seek our ruling on this cause. We say, "Why did you do that?" He says, "By Allah, a dispute occurred between me and her. I came from work tired and said, 'Make me some tea.' She brought me bitter tea." Yes, this exists. So anger is not to be disapproved of now; rather, may Allah keep us safe, anger has increased among people because they have no endurance or patience.

The questioner : The time is up.

The Shaykh : The time is up. All right, let us take the lesson.

The questioner :"And they are held to the invalidity of it if they believed it to be valid in their law and did not come to us. If they come to us before the contract is concluded, we conclude it according to our law. If they come to us after it, or if the husband and wife become Muslims, the woman becomes lawful if they acknowledge it, even if she is one whose marriage is not permissible initially, they are separated. If a disbeliever has intercourse with a disbelieving woman and they become Muslims, and they believed it to be a marriage, they are held to it; otherwise, it is annulled. Whenever the mahr is valid, she takes it. If it is invalid and she has received it, it remains. If she has not received it and it was not specified, the mahr of the like is prescribed for her."
