Benefits of the Hadith: (There is no hardship for your father after today...)
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This hadith clarifies that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), like other human beings, falls ill, gets hungry, gets thirsty, feels cold, and feels hot, and all human conditions befall the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as he said (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 572j.
It also contains a refutation of those people who associate partners with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). They call upon the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), seeking aid from him while he is in his grave. Indeed, some of them, may Allah protect us from that, do not ask Allah but ask the Messenger, as if the one who responds is the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). They have gone astray in their religion and acted foolishly in their minds, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) does not possess the power to cause harm or benefit for himself, so how could he possess it for others? Allah the Exalted commanded His Prophet:[Al-An'am 6:50]. Rather, he is a servant among the servants of Allah, and for this reason he said: [Al-An'am 6:50]. And Allah the Exalted also said to him: [Al-Jinn 72:21-23], meaning this is my duty: [Al-Jinn 72:23]. When Allah the Exalted revealed His saying: [Ash-Shu'ara 26:214], he called his relatives (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and kept calling out until he said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 3646Sahih (Darussalam). To this extent, his daughter, who is a part of him, and whom he was concerned about regarding what troubled her, he said to her: Sahih Muslim 206a. This is proof that anyone other than her is even more so. It contains the misguidance of those people who call upon the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him). You find them in the Prophet’s Mosque, when making supplication, facing the grave and standing before the grave as they stand before Allah in prayer, or even more so.
This hadith is evidence that there is no harm in slight lamentation, provided it does not involve complaining against Allah (Mighty and Majestic). This is because Fatimah lamented the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), but it was slight lamentation, and it was not an objection to the decree of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). It is also evidence that Fatimah bint Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, and may Allah be pleased with her) remained after his death, and none of his children remained after him except Fatimah. All of his children, both sons and daughters, died during his lifetime (peace and blessings be upon him). Fatimah remained, but she had no inheritance, neither she nor his wives, nor his uncle al-Abbas, nor any of his residuary male heirs, because the Prophets do not leave inheritance, as the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1757c. This is from the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for if they were to leave inheritance, some would say that these people came with the message seeking a kingdom to be inherited after them. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) prevented that, so the Prophets do not leave inheritance; rather, what they leave behind becomes charity to be distributed to those who are entitled to it. And success is from Allah.
Verily I am a human being like you, I forget just as you forget.

Allah the Exalted commanded His Prophet:
I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel
I only follow what is revealed to me.
(21) Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction." (22) Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge. (23) But [I have for you] only notification
But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.
O Fatimah bint Muhammad! Ask me for whatever you want, I cannot avail you anything before Allah.
