Ruling on exchanging one hundred riyals with a portion remaining deferred

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: Sometimes some of my colleagues ask me to exchange one hundred riyals for them, but I only have ninety-five riyals with me, and I give them the remaining five riyals later, which becomes a debt I owe them. Is this considered riba?

Answer:
That is not permissible. However, you may take it as a trust with you, and then when the five riyals come, you give them to him along with what has passed, and you take the hundred from him so that it becomes like a trust, and the first part becomes a loan like a qard until it is easy for you to complete it, then you complete it, then you take the hundred, and then the exchange takes place. The exchange must be with immediate possession, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said. There is no harm in taking it at the current market price, as long as you do not separate and there is something between you, so the hundred remains with him as a trust, like a pledge.
