Ruling on not placing the nose and forehead firmly in prostration

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A man places his forehead on the ground without his nose during prostration, and perhaps he does not place his forehead firmly on the ground either. What is the ruling on his prayer?

Answer:
It is obligatory to place the forehead and nose firmly, and prostration is not valid except by doing so. If he does this intentionally, his prayer is invalid. If it is due to forgetfulness, the rak'ah in which he omitted it is invalidated, and the other rak'ah takes its place. He must perform another rak'ah if he is praying alone, and if he is a ma'mum, he must perform a rak'ah when his imam concludes the prayer, because he has lost a rak'ah.
Q: If he does not touch the ground with his nose throughout the prostration, or if he touches it in part of the prostration?
The Shaykh: He must prostrate on both the nose and the forehead; both are obligatory. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prostrate on the forehead and the nose and said:
I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: on the foreheadأُمرت أن أسجد على سبعة أعْظُم: على الجبهة..
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1097Sahih (Darussalam)
and he pointed to his nose.
