Is the effect of seeking refuge proportional to the strength of the one seeking it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some scholars have said that the dhikr mentioned for protection against snakes, scorpions, and jinn is like a sword in the hand of a fighter; if he is strong, it benefits him, but if his faith is weak, it does not benefit him.

Answer:
This is an approximation; it is a matter of approximation. A person performs these acts and hopes in his Lord, meaning he is neither secure nor weak in sincerity nor weak in hope. Rather, he performs them and knows that they are means, along with truthfulness, good opinion of Allah, hope in Him, and belief in his Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
