Is it sufficient to recite the two Mu'awwidhat in place of other forms of seeking refuge?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is reported is that when the two Mu'awwidhat were revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) abandoned all the other forms of seeking refuge he had been using?

Answer:
I do not recall this, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
no one can use anything to compare with them for the purposeما تعوذ متعوذ بمثلهما
Sunan Abi Dawud 1463Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and it is recommended for the believer to recite them after every prayer,
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قل هو الله أحد
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
and the two Mu'awwidhat, after every prayer, and three times when going to sleep. All of this falls under the category of taking precautions, just as a person takes other measures, such as locking his door and doing other things, and he says the name of Allah and remembers Him, and he eats and drinks. This cause does not prevent the other cause, just as he says the name and seeks refuge, he also eats, which is the custom, and drinks; he does not stop eating and drinking until he dies, but he does the other things as well.
