The ruling on delaying the Zuhr prayer in our current time

Question:
Some people say: Now that we have air conditioning, there is no need to delay the prayer?

Answer:
No, it is obligatory to follow the Sunnah, because the roads are hot, and not everyone has air conditioning. The Sunnah is to be practiced, and it should not be neglected or abandoned on the basis of this claim. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said so, and likewise delaying the 'Isha' prayer if the people do not gather; if they wish to delay it, he delays it, and if they wish to advance it, he advances it, in consideration of what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said. It is a binding command.
