What is the description of the one who enjoins good and forbids evil?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I have a sister in her fifties who has a son. Because of her intense love for him, she overlooks much of his disobedience to the commands of his religion and matters related to morals. She says: "This is the case with many mothers and some fathers." I ask for guidance in this matter, if you would be so kind, and may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for the Muslim to fear Allah in himself, in his family, in his neighbors, and in all his affairs and with all Muslims; and that is by calling them to Allah, enjoining them to do what is right, and forbidding them from what is wrong, and not letting anyone deter him from the sake of Allah. This is the obligation of every Muslim, so he should not leave enjoining good and forbidding evil for the sake of a relative or the love of a person. Rather, out of his love for his relative and his maintaining the true family ties for which he is rewarded, he should enjoin him to do what is right and forbid him from what is wrong, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: :
And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative.وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى
[Al-An'am: 152].
So it is obligatory for every believer, male and female, to fear Allah and to fulfill the right that is due to him with the near and the far. He, the Exalted, says:
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relativesيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأَقْرَبِينَ
[An-Nisa 4:135]
the verse [Al-Nisa: 135], and He, the Exalted, says:
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stonesيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ
[Al-Tahrim: 6].
So it is obligatory for the believer, male and female, that each of them should advise his or her relative and others, and should denounce what is wrong, and should enjoin what is right with relatives and others. Indeed, among the most important matters is that one should advise his relative and guide him to good, and this is greater than maintaining family ties through wealth, and he is rewarded for maintaining family ties. So his maintaining ties with him by guiding him to good, or teaching him good, or enjoining him to do what is right and forbidding him from what is wrong, is more important than maintaining ties with him through wealth, because guiding him to good benefits him in this world and the Hereafter. So it is not permissible for your sister or anyone else to leave enjoining good and forbidding evil out of her love for her son, or her brother, or her sister, or others. Rather, she must enjoin good and forbid evil by the methods she sees as useful and effective, and by good means, so that she succeeds in her work, if Allah wills, and her conscience is cleared.
