The permissibility of wiping over the turban, whether it has a tail or not.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This contains evidence for the permissibility of wearing the turban, and that it is better for a person to give it a tail. The tail is when the two ends are let down from the back, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did. The turban that has no tail is called the "blind turban" because it has no loose ends. Both are permissible, and according to the stronger opinion, it is also permissible to wipe over both. In the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three white, fine cotton garments from Kufah, with no shirt or turban in them. This contains evidence that it is better to shroud the dead in white garments, if that is available. However, if it is not available, the deceased should be shrouded in whatever the living wear, of any color, except pure red. The hadith of Aisha also contains evidence that no shirt or turban should be placed on the deceased; rather, the pieces are placed one on top of the other, then the deceased is placed on them, then the top piece is wrapped over him, then the middle one, then the bottom one, and then it is folded over from the head and from the feet.
