Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the second hadith: it is that when a person arrives from a journey, he should begin with the mosque before anything else, before entering upon his family. He should begin with the mosque and pray two units of prayer in it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established this as a recommended practice for his Ummah through his saying and his doing. So, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, the first thing he would begin with was the mosque, where he would pray two units of prayer. And when Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him to collect the price of the donkey he had sold to him, he said to him: . This recommended practice has been neglected by many people, either out of ignorance of it or out of negligence. However, a person should revive this recommended practice. When he reaches the town, the first thing he should do is enter the mosque and pray two units of prayer, and then after that he goes to his family. And success is from Allah.
