Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for these birds that are kept in cages, if a person provides them with food and drink, does not neglect them, and protects them from heat and cold, there is nothing wrong with it. However, if he neglects them and they die because of his negligence, he will be punished for them, may Allah protect us from that, just as that woman was punished for the cat she confined.
This indicates that it is obligatory for a person to be careful with what is in his possession, whether animals or humans; humans are even more deserving of this, and even more so, because they are more entitled to respect.

This is not permissible, because if it is confined, it is possible to slaughter it and perform the ritual slaughter on it. Therefore, it is not lawful to throw it, as throwing it causes it pain in one aspect and wastes its value in another. And success is from Allah.
