We said that a marriage with the intention of divorce is not permissible because it involves deception, so why do you not forbid the man who marries and divorces frequently?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We said regarding temporary marriage, O Shaykh, that we forbid it because it falls under the category of deception.

The Shaykh : A marriage with the intention of divorce.

The questioner : We forbid a marriage with the intention of divorce because of the deception.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Someone might ask, why do you not forbid the man who takes women and then divorces them, takes them and then divorces them?

The Shaykh : Yes, we do not see that.

The questioner : This is his custom; it has become his habit; it is known among people.

The Shaykh : If it is known that he is not married to them, therefore, when he proposes, they do not marry him to him unless he has dirhams, wanting to take dirhams. Otherwise, if it is known that he is a divorcer, and he is called "al-Dha'iq" (the taster), the man who marries and divorces, marries and divorces, they call him "al-Dha'iq." Yes, this is what people do not marry him to. How would one marry him to his daughter when he knows that after two days he will divorce her? No one would marry him to her.

The questioner : Is the ruling on the horse like that of the wild donkey or not?

The Shaykh : Yes, the question is: is the horse like the wild donkey, meaning is it forbidden?
No, so in Sahih al-Bukhari, from Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her), she said:
We slaughtered a horse (by Nahr) during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) and ate it. نحرنا في المدينة على عهد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فرساً وأكلناها
Sahih al-Bukhari 5510
It is lawful.

The questioner : ... mules.
