A man divorced his wife twice, then another man married her and then divorced her, then she returned to the first man. Does she count the two previous divorces?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yasir!

The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you. A man divorced his wife twice, and after the second divorce, another man married her. If the other man divorces her and then he marries her again, does the second marriage annul the two previous divorces?

The Shaykh : Did you hear the question?
A man divorced his woman twice, then she married another man, then the other man divorced her or died, then she returned to the first man. Does she start the count anew or build upon what has passed?
The answer is that she builds upon what has passed, and the first husband has only one divorce remaining in this new marriage. This is because the marriage to the second husband did not affect anything, unlike the case where he divorced her three times, then she married another man and he consummated the marriage, then he died or divorced her. In that case, she returns to the first man with three divorces, meaning: anew, because the marriage to the second man made her lawful for the first man after she had been forbidden to him. However, if he had divorced her twice, the second marriage did not make her lawful for him because she was already lawful for him whether she married or did not marry. Yes.
