The Hanbalis are not the only Salafis

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is it true that the Hanbalis are the only Salafis? And what is the reality of Salafism? Is it a sign of extremism and rigidity, as some people promote?

A: This statement is not correct. Rather, the righteous Salaf are the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and those who followed their path from the Tabi'un and the generation after the Tabi'un, including the Hanafis, Malikis, Shafi'is, Hanbalis, and others who proceeded upon the truth and held fast to the Noble Qur'an and the Pure Sunnah in the matter of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), the matter of the names and attributes, and in all matters of the religion. We ask Allah to make us among them, and to guide all Muslims, governments and peoples, in every place, to hold fast to His Noble Book and the Sunnah of His Trustworthy Messenger, to judge by them, and to beware of everything that contradicts them. He is the One who is capable of that and has power over it. And success is from Allah.
