Q: His Eminence, the father, the distinguished Shaykh, the scholar / Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz (may Allah preserve him),
Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.
May Allah grant you health and well-being, and increase you in faith and mindfulness of Allah. As for what follows:
We are a group of da'is (callers to Allah) and students of Islamic jurisprudence in Sudan, by the praise of Allah, who has bestowed upon us the creed and methodology of the righteous Salaf in the oneness of worship, the oneness of the names and attributes, and other matters. Our goal is to seek and spread Islamic jurisprudence among the people, to call to Allah the Exalted in the manner of the Salaf in various centers throughout the country, to teach people the matters of their religion in tawhid (the oneness of Allah), the pillars of Islam, and other matters, to combat shirk (associating partners with Allah) and bid'ah (religious innovation), to call to adhering to the Book and the Sunnah according to the understanding of the righteous Salaf, to instill virtue and combat vice, and to raise people with the noble morals and keep them away from the lowest of them.
We cooperate with all those who work in the field of calling to Allah the Exalted in what agrees with truth and correctness, in a lawful cooperation based on His saying, the Exalted:[Al-Ma'idah 5:2] the verse [Al-Ma'idah: 2], staying away from partisan groupings, fanaticism for men or organizations, and establishing al-wala' wa al-bara' (loyalty and disavowal) on that basis. Rather, we love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah, and we support for the sake of Allah and oppose for the sake of Allah according to the methodology of the righteous Salaf. We work to establish educational centers, build mosques, Islamic institutes, Qur'an memorization centers, and public libraries, and to publish beneficial books and scholarly papers, useful audio tapes, and the lawful hijab (covering). We also work to connect the ummah (the Muslim community) with the rabbani scholars (scholars of divine knowledge).
Therefore, we have established a Salafi scholarly body comprising a group of graduates of Islamic universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and those who studied under the great Shaykhs of the Salafi da'wah in the Islamic world, under the name of the al-Kitab wa al-Sunnah Charitable Association, headquartered in Khartoum. Is there any legal impediment to working to achieve these aforementioned objectives through the aforementioned association, without adhering to a specific group organization in Sudan? This is due to our important observations regarding them, while maintaining the brotherhood of Islam and cooperating with them in truth. Please give us a ruling, and may you be rewarded.
Answer: In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and his Companions. As for what follows: This methodology you mentioned above in calling to Allah the Exalted and guiding people to good according to the guidance of the Book and the Sunnah and the path of the Salaf of the ummah is a sound methodology. We advise you to adhere to it and remain upright upon it, and to cooperate with your brothers, the da'is to Allah in Sudan and elsewhere, in what agrees with the Book and the Sunnah and what the Salaf of the ummah established in explaining the tawhid of Allah and its evidence, warning against shirk and its means, and warning against bid'ah and types of sins with the legal evidence and good manner, in accordance with His saying, the Exalted:[Fussilat 41:33] the verse [Fussilat: 33], and His saying, the Exalted: [Yusuf 12:108] the verse [Yusuf: 108], and His saying, the Exalted: [An-Nahl: 125], and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 1893a narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when he sent him to Khaybar to call the Jews: "Call them to Islam and inform them of what is obligatory upon them of the right of Allah the Exalted therein: Sahih al-Bukhari 3701 agreed upon as authentic. The verses and hadiths in this meaning are numerous.
And Allah is the One asked to grant you success and assistance in all good, and to make us and you among the guides and the guided. Indeed, He is Generous and Bountiful. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًاThis is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me
قُلْ هَذِهِ سَبِيلِي أَدْعُو إِلَى اللَّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِيInvite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best
One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.
من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعلهfor by Allah, if one man is guided on the right path (i.e. converted to Islam) through you, it would be better for you than (a great number of) red camels.
فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلا واحدا خير لك من حمر النعمAnd Allah is the One asked to grant you success and assistance in all good, and to make us and you among the guides and the guided.
