There is no text that specifies the age of the world
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is there any text that specifies the age of the world or the earth? And how accurate is what some of those engaged in science claim, that they find human bones and determine their age to be millions of years old?
A: No one knows the world or when the Hour will occur except Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), by the consensus of the scholars; because this is part of the knowledge of the unseen which Allah has kept to Himself, as He (Glorified and Exalted is He) said: [Surat al-Naml: 65] and His saying (peace and blessings be upon him): [Surat al-A'raf: 187] and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Jibril when he asked him about the Hour: Mishkat al-Masabih 741 in five things which no one knows except Allah, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He): [Surat Luqman: 34] and the verses and hadiths in this meaning are many, and success is from Allah.

قُلْ لا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الْغَيْبَ إِلا اللَّهُThey ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know."
