Falsifying a certificate to enter a job competition

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If a person desires to work in a position and is capable of performing the job and succeeding in the competition, but does not have a certificate that qualifies him to enter it, is it permissible for him to falsify a certificate to enter the competition? And if he succeeds, is it permissible for him to take the salary or not?

Answer: What appears to me from the pure Shari'ah and its noble objectives is that such an action is not permissible; because it is a means of reaching positions through lying and deception, and that is among the forbidden and reprehensible matters, and it opens doors of evil and paths of deception. There is no doubt that it is obligatory for those to whom the matter of employment is entrusted to seek out the competent and trustworthy as much as possible.
