Men and Women from the Same Family Praying in Congregation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The brother A. N. A. from al-Zulfi in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia says in his question: When I am traveling, I see people on the roads praying in groups and individually, and this, praise be to Allah, brings comfort to the heart. However, I see the men from the same family praying alone and the women praying alone. Is it not better, O Shaykh, for everyone to pray in congregation so that they may be recorded with its reward — I mean the men and women who are in the same car? Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

A: The matter in this is broad. If they pray in congregation, that is good, and the women should be behind the men. If the men pray alone and the women pray alone, there is no blame on them. And success is from Allah.
