The Ruling on Congregational Prayer for Women

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: Our sister asks in another question: If women gather at the time of prayer in a mosque or in a pure place, is it obligatory for them to pray in congregation, or does each one pray alone? And if they pray in congregation, what is the manner of the imam for them? Do they recite aloud or quietly? And is congregational prayer in this case obligatory for them or recommended for them? May Allah reward you with good.
The answer: If women gather in any place, congregation is not obligatory upon them; each one may pray alone and there is no blame on her; because congregation is a matter for men, whereas for women there is no congregation required of them. However, if they pray in congregation and one of them leads them, there is nothing wrong with it. It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Umm Salama that they led some women in prayer on some occasions. So if a woman prays with a group of women in her house or in any place, there is no blame on her.
And if she prays with the women, she stands in the middle of them, in the middle of the first row, and does not stand in front like a man. She raises her voice for the takbir. If the prayer is one of loud recitation, such as Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr, she recites aloud so that they hear her and benefit from it. If it is a prayer of quiet recitation, like the men, she recites quietly, but she raises her voice for the takbir and for saying, "Allah hears the one who praises Him," like the men, so that the women hear her and follow her. She must be humble, composed, and not hasty, so that they may emulate her. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
