Explanation of the author's (may Allah have mercy on him) statement: "… Chapter on Emphasis …"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on Emphasis". It is said *ta'kid* (emphasis) and it is said *ta'kid* with a hamza. *Ta'kid* is more eloquent because Allah the Exalted said:
and do not break oaths after their confirmation ولا تنقضوا الأيمان بعد توكيدها
[An-Nahl 16:91]
and He did not say "after its *ta'kid*," even though the common usage among people is *ta'kid* with a hamza. However, the common usage is not eloquent in the Arabic language. What is eloquent in the Arabic language? *Ta'kid* with a waw. And *ta'kid* means strengthening; it means strengthening and confirming. So one might say, for example, "he *wakkada* the hadith" or "he *akkada* the hadith," and one might say "he *wakkada* the news" or "he *akkada* the news," and the like. So it is strengthening.
