What is the ruling on transmitting the news of the Children of Israel?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Using the words of other nations as evidence... if it is to clarify the matter?

Answer:
As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say:
relate traditions from the children of Isra'il; there is no harm.حدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج
Sunan Abi Dawud 3662Sahih (Al-Albani)

A category that matches the truth, which is to be transmitted.
And a category that contradicts the truth, which is not to be transmitted but rather rejected.
And a category that is neither of these, where what agrees with the truth and what contradicts it has not become clear; this is to be transmitted by way of narration; based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
relate traditions from the children of Isra'il; there is no harm.حدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج
Sunan Abi Dawud 3662Sahih (Al-Albani)
and his saying:
do not verify them, nor falsify themلا تصدقوهم ولا تكذبوهم
Sunan Abi Dawud 3644Da'if (Al-Albani)
; for it may be truth that you deny, or it may be falsehood that you accept.
And his meaning (peace and blessings be upon him) is: the thing that has not become clear as truth and has not become clear as falsehood. As for what has become clear from what is transmitted from them to be falsehood, it is to be denied, and what has become clear to be truth is to be accepted. One only suspends judgment on the doubtful matter. This is what he said regarding:
relate traditions from the children of Isra'il; there is no harm.حدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج
Sunan Abi Dawud 3662Sahih (Al-Albani)
the doubtful matter whose aspect has not become clear. It is transmitted from them because of the lessons and admonitions contained in it.
