What is the difference between minor shirk and the means to shirk?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the difference between minor shirk and the means to shirk?

Answer:
The means to shirk are numerous, such as building on graves, making mosques on graves, and saying, "I ask you by the status of so-and-so and by the right of so-and-so." These are means that lead to exaggeration.
As for minor shirk, it is to speak of something that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named shirk, but which has not reached the level of major shirk, such as a little showing off in worship, or saying, "By Allah and so-and-so," or "This is from Allah and from so-and-so," or swearing by other than Allah. This is from minor shirk.
